Bestiary
Enemies, hazards, and areas documented in the order they became relevant. Danger ratings are subjective and reflect the character’s current capabilities.
City Watch
City districts, outer wards, patrol routes — Danger: ●●○○○
The Watch are not a danger in isolation. They become a danger in aggregate. A single guardsman is manageable; a called alarm is not. They have apparently been briefed on what the red eyes mean and respond accordingly, which suggests the arrangement between the Dominion and the city governance is less of a secret than the Primus implies.
Mechanically: moderate physical stats, low perception at night, alert threshold triggers after any visible hostile action in city zones. Avoid feeding in patrolled areas during day cycle.
The Hollow
Undercroft, lower warrens — Danger: ●●●○○
Not undead. Not living. Something that was once both and is now neither. They move like they have forgotten how and fight like they have forgotten why. The blood in them is cold and wrong and the compass needle does not respond to them at all, which I find more unsettling than their appearance.
Mechanically: immune to blood drain abilities. Physical attacks only. High endurance, slow speed. Stagger on heavy Corpus strikes. Do not engage below 50% blood; the cost-to-reward ratio is unfavourable until Sanguis tree is developed further.
